Shuttle Information

With conveniently located drop-off and pick-up areas, you’re never more than a short walk from major attractions and destinations. CATA takes the stress out of getting there — so you can focus on enjoying the best of Greater Lansing’s events, festivals and recreational offerings.

MSU Football Shuttle

Avoid expensive parking and ride-share services on game day with CATA’s free shuttle services to the stadium.

Green Line

  • Location: Lot 89 on Mt. Hope Road
  • Service Hours: Begins 5 hours before kickoff, runs throughout the game, and up to 2 hours after
  • Parking Cost: $20 per game
  • Shuttle Cost: Free

White Line

  • Location: Lot 200 Pavilion parking lot on Farm Lane (south of Mt. Hope), primarily for RVs and charter buses
  • Service Hours: One bus starts 3 hours before kickoff, two buses start 2 hours before kickoff, runs throughout the game, and up to 2 hours after
  • Parking Cost: $60 for RVs, $100 for charter buses
  • Shuttle Cost: Free to Shaw Lane

Lot 48 Shuttle

  • Location: Lot 48 off Service Road behind Ramp 5 (reserved for vehicles with handicap stickers or licenses)
  • Service Hours: Begins 2 hours before kickoff, runs throughout the game, and up to 2 hours after
  • Parking Cost: $30, includes round-trip shuttle pass
  • Shuttle Cost: Free to the stadium

MSU Basketball Shuttle

  • Location: Departs from Ramp 5 (Communication Arts and Sciences building)
  • Service Hours: Begins 1.5 hours before tip-off, runs up to 1 hour post-game
  • Parking Cost: $10 at Ramp 5
  • Shuttle Cost: Free to Breslin Center
  • Note: Children 46 inches or under (or age 5 and under) ride free

Arts Shuttle

The Arts Shuttle has concluded for 2025's events. Check back next year for the most up-to-date information for this service.

CATA provides shuttle service for the East Lansing Art Festival and MSU Arts & Crafts Show on May 17–18, 2025.

  • Location: Park for free at MSU’s Commuter Lot 89 on Farm Lane; shuttles stop on Grand River Avenue
  • Service Hours:
    • Saturday, May 17: 8:30 a.m.–7 p.m.
    • Sunday, May 18: 9:30 a.m.–6 p.m.
  • Frequency: Buses run every 10–15 minutes
  • Cost to Ride: 50 cents round-trip (exact change required); children under 42 inches ride free with an adult
  • Transfers: Request a free transfer ticket from the driver, valid for 2 hours and two uses in one direction
  • Features: All buses are equipped with bike racks and wheelchair ramps/lifts

Turn-by-Turn Directions

  • Inbound (Northbound): Depart Lot 89 to Farm Lane, left (north) on Farm to Grand River Ave, left (west) on Grand River to Michigan Ave, continue west on Michigan Ave to Beal St, left (south/east) on Beal to Michigan Ave (eastbound).
  • Outbound (Southbound): East on Michigan Ave to Grand River Ave, slight right to continue east on Grand River to Farm Lane, right (south) on Farm to Lot 89 entrance, right (west) at entrance to Lot 89, traveling counterclockwise around the lot back to Farm Lane.

Ingham County Fair Shuttle

In partnership with Ingham County, CATA provides transit service to the Ingham County Fair, running July 28–August 2, 2025, in Mason. The fair features livestock shows, 4-H exhibits, food, rides, and grandstand entertainment. Visit fair.ingham.org for the full schedule.

Location: Departs from CATA Transportation Center (CTC), Bay 24, in downtown Lansing to the fairgrounds (A-Gate) via I-496 and US-127

Service Hours:

  • Monday, July 28: 3:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m. (CTC departures), 4 p.m.–10 p.m. (fairgrounds departures)
  • Tuesday–Saturday, July 29–August 2: 12:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m. (CTC departures), 1 p.m.–10 p.m. (fairgrounds departures)
  • Buses run hourly

Cost to Ride: $1.25 regular fare, 60 cents discounted fare (cash, mobile pay, or CATA fixed-route bus passes accepted); children under 42 inches ride free with an adult
