CATA honors Rosa Parks’ legacy with tribute bus on Transit Equity Day

The Capital Area Transportation Authority showcased its Rosa Parks Tribute Bus on Feb. 4, 2026 in front of the Michigan State Capitol, marking the 70th anniversary year of the Montgomery Bus Boycott and Transit Equity Day, which honors Parks’ legacy each year on her birthday by advocating for fair, affordable and accessible public transportation for all.

The Capital Area Transportation Authority will provide shuttle service to the East Lansing Art Festival and the MSU Arts & Crafts Show Saturday, May 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
