CATA's regular services will not operate on Independence Day
In observance of Independence Day, Saturday, July 4, the Capital Area Transportation Authority (CATA) will not operate regular Saturday services — Fixed-Route, Spec-Tran, Rural Service, CATA Rydz, Connector and Redi-Ride. Limited holiday service will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for customers with pre-reserved trips.
Evening service on Friday, July 3, will end early as follows:
- Route 1 – Downtown Lansing/Meridian Mall: Final trips will depart the CATA Transportation Center (CTC) at 10:40 p.m. and Meridian Mall at 11:20 p.m. Friday services end for the evening when the last bus reaches the CTC at 11:55 p.m.
The Paratransit Office will remain open on Independence Day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to schedule rides needed after the holiday. No same-day trips will be scheduled. To schedule a ride, call 517-394-2282, visit MySpectran or use the MyRideCATA app.
CATA routes and services will resume their regular weekend schedules on Sunday, July 5.
