CATA hosts next public open house for transit service review

CATA hosts next public open house for transit service review

Route 1 bus in the bay at the CATA Transportation Center

CATA’s Road Ahead, a year-long, systemwide review of transit services, has entered Phase II. This phase builds on earlier findings and continues evaluating how public transportation can better serve the region.

The project reviews both fixed-route and demand-response services and examines how CATA can better meet the evolving needs of residents, employees, students and visitors. It also explores opportunities to coordinate with community partners and expand transportation options across the tri-county region.

As part of Phase II, CATA is hosting a public open house where community members can learn more about updated findings, review transit concepts developed from Phase I feedback, and speak with staff. Attendees also have the opportunity to ask questions and share input to help shape future service recommendations.

Upcoming Open House Event:
Tuesday, May 12, 2026
4 p.m.–6 p.m.
Foster Community Center
200 N Foster Ave, Lansing

A short survey is available online and will also be available at the public open house for those interested in sharing feedback as part of the study. For more information, visit CATA's Road Ahead Webpage.
