Moving Beyond Boundaries

Life doesn’t stop at a county line.

Whether commuting to work, visiting a favorite restaurant or accessing essential services, people move between communities every day. That’s why CATA and its partners continue working to strengthen regional mobility and create a more connected transit experience.

Another step forward came in 2026 when CATA entered into a new interlocal agreement with Clinton Transit. The partnership helps coordinate services, identify transfer opportunities and improve connections between the two systems.

Riders can also connect between CATA and Eaton County’s EATRAN service at the Meijer on West Saginaw Highway, providing a convenient transfer point for trips that cross county lines.

As communities grow increasingly connected, transit agencies are working together to ensure mobility keeps pace — helping connect people to opportunities throughout mid-Michigan.
