From accessible vehicles to travel training, the federal Section 5310 Program helps expand transportation options for seniors and individuals with disabilities across Mid-Michigan. CATA receives federal funding through the program and works with local organizations to support transportation projects that improve mobility and accessibility.

Organizations that have received funding since 2024:

Vehicles:

- Retired & Senior Volunteer Programs of Ingham, Eaton & Clinton Counties (RSVP)

- Lansing Housing Commission

- Mason Community Services

- Senior CommUnity Care of Michigan PACE

- Ingham County Medical Care Facility

Travel Training: Helping individuals build confidence using public transportation.

- Disability Network Capital Area (DNCAP)

These investments help address mobility needs beyond traditional transit service, creating greater access and independence throughout the region.
