On Sunday, September 20, 2026, the Capital City River Run 5K and Half Marathon will impact CATA service in Downtown Lansing and along the Michigan Avenue/Grand River Avenue corridor. From the start of service until approximately 11:00 a.m., all affected Downtown Lansing routes will operate using CATA’s established Downtown Lansing Event Route Detours. Additionally, eastbound bus stops along Michigan Avenue and Grand River Avenue between Downtown Lansing and Hagadorn Road will be temporarily closed during the event to accommodate race participants.
