Beginning at the start of service on Friday, May 19, 2026, several CATA services in the Downtown Lansing area will be impacted due to a City of Lansing construction project along Capitol Avenue, between Kalamazoo Street and Lenawee Street. The following stops will be closed because of the project/service detours: • 1614 - SBD Capitol past Kalamazoo St • 1644 - WBD Kalamazoo before Townsend St • 3014 - SBD Capitol past W Washtenaw St • 3045 - WBD Kalamazoo past S Walnut St For the duration of the project, estimated to be completed on July 16, 2026, the impacted CATA services will travel as follows: Routes 1, 2 – Capitol Loop, 3, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 46 – AM and 48 – AM, will detour as follows: Regular route to Capitol Avenue South on Capitol to Washtenaw Street Left (east) on Washtenaw to Grand Avenue Right (south) on Grand to Lenawee Street Right (west) on Lenawee to the westside of the CATA Transportation Center (CTC) Route 2 – Outbound (southbound): Depart the CTC to Kalamazoo Street Right (east) on Kalamazoo to Grand Avenue Right (south) on Grand to Hillsdale Street Right (west) on Hillsdale to Capitol Avenue Left (south) on Capitol – Resuming regular routing thereafter Route 7 – Outbound (southbound): Depart the CTC to Lenawee Street Left (east) on Lenawee to Grand Avenue Right (south) on Grand to Hillsdale Street Right (west) on Hillsdale to Capitol Avenue Left (south) on Capitol – Resuming regular routing thereafter Route 9 – Outbound (southbound): Regular route to Capitol Avenue South on Capitol to Washtenaw Street Right (west) on Washtenaw to Townsend Street Left (south) on Townsend to Kalamazoo Street Right (west) on Kalamazoo – Resuming regular routing thereafter Route 46 – PM (southbound): Regular route to Capitol Avenue South on Capitol to Washtenaw Street Right (west) on Washtenaw to Townsend Street Left (south) on Townsend to Hillsdale Street Left (east) on Hillsdale to Capitol Avenue Right (south) on Capitol – Resuming regular routing thereafter
