Transit App

Download Transit for CATA resources in an easy-to-use app. Enjoy access to:

  • Bus Tracker: See buses in real time and find nearby stops.
  • Service Alerts: Keep on top of schedule changes, detours and unexpected surprises.
  • Upcoming Departures: See upcoming arrivals, or view the full schedule.
  • Trip Companion: Tap GO for step-by-step transit directions and notifications about when to leave for your trip and when to get off. 
  • NEW Automatic Detour Detection: CATA riders can now see when their bus is on detour, and where bus stops have been relocated to accommodate major construction projects and other events that cause temporary routing disruptions.

CATA Mobile Pay

Buy your way with mobile pay

CATA continues its commitment to improve customer experience by introducing new ways to pay for a ride. Now you can purchase and use your CATA tickets and passes all in one place - right on your phone. Purchase tickets and passes to use on the day of travel and store the remaining tickets and passes in the secure mobile wallet for future use. CATA Mobile Pay is the first of the new contactless payment options, allowing riders to pay for bus rides directly from their smartphones.

See Say App

See something, say something. Help make the Capital City Region safer by reporting safety and security concerns. When you see a problem, the See Say app provides a quick and discreet way to inform CATA of what is going on. CATA Customer Experience Representatives or Operations Supervisors will respond to your report. Through the See Say app, you can send photos, video, a description of the problem and the incident location. A representative will reply to your report through the app in real time during regular business hours. 

Users may report:

  • Safety hazards
  • Disruptive persons
  • Operator assaults
  • Harassment, drugs and alcohol
  • Vulnerable persons
  • Human trafficking
  • Crime in progress

CATA Now, Real-time next-bus info when you want it

CATAnow

Gain immediate access to real-time departures at your fingertips. Want to know exactly when your bus departs?

By Text Message

  1. Locate the bus stop number located on the lower CATAnow sign at every permanent bus stop.

  2. Text your stop number to 76123. After about a minute, you will receive the next real-time arrival time for bus routes serving that stop. Message and data rates may apply.

  3. For a bus stop that serves multiple CATA routes, you can choose a particular route by adding the route number to the end of the Stop ID number. For example, to see only the Route 8 departure times from stop 3524, text 3524-08 for information.

By Email

  1. Locate the bus stop number located on the lower CATAnow sign at every permanent bus stop.

  2. Email your stop number to catanow@cata.org. 

  3. For a bus stop that serves multiple CATA routes, you can choose a particular route by adding the route number to the end of the stop number. For example, to see only the Route 8 departure times from stop 3524, your email subject line should be 3524-08 for information.
