The Arts Shuttle connects riders to art

Friday, May 16, 2025

Categories: General, Community Event

The Capital Area Transportation Authority will provide shuttle service to the East Lansing Art Festival and the MSU Arts & Crafts Show Saturday, May 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Visitors can park for free at Michigan State University’s Commuter Lot 89 on Mt. Hope Road at Farm Lane and take The Arts Shuttle to both events. Buses will run every 10 to 15 minutes between Lot 89 and stops along Grand River Avenue. Round-trip fare is just 50 cents, and children under 42 inches ride free with an adult. Ask your driver for a boarding pass when you pay. It’s good for a return trip on the shuttle or a transfer to any CATA fixed-route bus.

As part of CATA’s Art in Motion campaign, this year’s shuttle buses will feature vibrant artwork by five local artists: Matthew Bohan, Michelle Detering, Ruth Egnater, Sarah Hillman and Sheri Munce.

The campaign is presented in collaboration with the Arts Council of Greater Lansing.

CATA is proud to sponsor these events in partnership with the East Lansing Art Festival and MSU’s University Activities Board.
