As part of the federally-outlined process, the transportation study team is assembling a list of possible methods, known as a "Universe of Transportation Options", for addressing transportation issues within the corridor. The public is invited to provide their additional transportation options for consideration.

Meetings will be held in an open house format. Attendees are welcome to arrive or leave at any time during the open house. Attendees will be free to discuss the options with one another, provide written comments, and have questions answered by the technical team. Prior knowledge of transportation and planning is not necessary to participate, and study background information will be available.

Following the open houses, the technical team will narrow down the options list using variables such as cost, benefits, community preferences, environmental benefits, and engineering issues. The study will then move forward with more in-depth analysis and additional public outreach.

The public is also invited to visit the study website, www.migrtrans.org, to access study information, participate in surveys, and sign up to receive project email updates. In addition to the website, interested persons may also participate by becoming a "Michigan / Grand River Avenue Transportation Study" Facebook fan, or by calling (517) 394-1100.

Persons needing additional accommodations to participate meaningfully should contact Joseph Manzella prior to the event at (517) 394-1100.
