CATA’s regular services close for Easter; pre-reserved holiday trips return

LANSING, Mich. March 28 — In observance of the Easter holiday, regular Sunday services provided by the Capital Area Transportation Authority —Fixed-Route, Spec-Tran and Lot Link  — will not operate March 31. Limited holiday service will operate 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for customers who have pre-reserved trips. Lot Link will resume service to MSU’s campus at 3 p.m. Easter Sunday.

On Saturday, March 30, late-night services will conclude early as follows:

Route 1-Downtown Lansing/Meridian Mall Final trips will depart the CATA Transportation Center at 10:40 p.m. and Meridian Mall at 11:20 p.m. Saturday service concludes for the evening when the last bus reaches the CTC at 11:55 p.m.    

Routes 34, 35 & 36Final campus trips will depart the MSU-CTC at 10:55 p.m. on Route 35, 11 p.m. on Route 34 and 11:20 p.m. on Route 36. All three routes will conclude service by 11:30 p.m. when buses return to the MSU-CTC.

Lot Link Service on MSU’s campus will end at midnight.

The Spec-Tran office will remain open Easter Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to schedule rides that are to occur on or after Monday, April 1. Call 517-394-2282, login to myspectran.cata.org or access your account using the MyRideCATA app to reserve a Spec-Tran ride needed after the holiday.
