CATA to give free rides to voters Aug. 4 for state primary election
To ensure transportation for voters on Aug. 4, 2020 – Michigan’s primary election – the Capital Area Transportation Authority will offer system-wide free rides to the polls. A valid voter registration card will be required upon boarding.
Spec-Tran and Rural Service rides must be scheduled by 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3. Same-day rides are not available for these services. CATA also recommends that Redi-Ride trips to polling centers be booked no later than Aug. 3.
Riders are required to wear a face covering over their nose and mouth, and to maintain physical distance aboard CATA buses.
