CATA Statement on Delta Township Public Transportation Millage Outcome

Following the unofficial election results in Eaton County from the Nov. 4 election, in which Delta Township voters did not approve the proposed public transportation millage (53% to 47%), CATA has issued the following statement:
"While we are disappointed that the public transportation millage in Delta Township was not approved, CATA remains committed to creating a seamless network of regional transportation services that connect residents to jobs, medical appointments, shopping, recreation and more. Without this millage, current transit service levels in Delta Township will necessarily decrease. However, CATA will continue to work collaboratively with township officials and regional partners to explore sustainable ways to support public transportation within the resources that remain available in the township."
