CATA spring job fair offers careers in public transit

Look to the road for your dream career – behind the wheel or behind the scenes. The Capital Area Transportation Authority is hosting a spring job fair, Thursday, May 22, in search of bus drivers, mechanics and supervisors. On-site interviews will be conducted throughout the day.
No experience is necessary for bus operator applicants as CATA offers paid training. Drivers receive wage increases after a probationary period and after six months of employment. Mechanic First Class hires receive a $7,500 signing bonus and must meet certain requirements. Supervisory experience is required for consideration of maintenance and operations supervisors.

The event will be held at 1020 S. Long Boulevard, Suite 20, in South Lansing, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. For those requiring transportation, CATA’s Route 8 and Delhi Redi-Ride travel to the job fair.
