CATA offers limited service on Independence Day

The Capital Area Transportation Authority will provide limited holiday service on Independence Day, July 4, while all other services — Fixed-Route, Spec-Tran, Rural Service, CATA Rydz, Connector, Redi-Ride and Shopping Bus — will not operate.
On Independence Day, curb-to-curb service within the Spec-Tran service boundaries will be available to the general public from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. CATA will attempt to accommodate all ride requests. To view the service area map, visit the holidays webpage.
Trips must be scheduled in advance June 20-July 1. No same-day trips will be permitted. To reserve a ride, call 517-394-2282. The one-way fare is $2.50. Drivers will accept cash (exact fare), mobile pay, Spec-Tran tokens and punch passes as payment.
The Spec-Tran office will remain open July 4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to schedule rides needed after the holiday. No same-day trips will be scheduled. Call 517-394-2282 to book your ride. Trips can also be scheduled on the MySpectran webpage or the MyRideCATA app.
