Demolition and construction for the redevelopment of the Capital Area Multi Modal Gateway, operated by CATA (currently the East Lansing Amtrak Station) has been delayed. Currently, construction is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2014 and conclude by mid-2015. During this time, the station will be located in a temporary facility with limited temporary passenger parking at the southeast section of the existing property.

Temporary site features include:

• Limited-seating waiting area.
• Extremely limited parking (includes limited accessible spots) during construction. Please arrange to be dropped off and picked up at the facility.
• Passenger boarding for intercity buses will be adjacent to temporary facility.
• Access rail platform by public sidewalk along west side of Harrison Road.
• Do not enter marked construction area and remain at a safe distance from all construction equipment.
