LANSING, Mich. — Look to the road for your dream career. The Capital Area Transportation Authority is hosting an open house, Thursday, Feb. 22, in search of bus mechanics.

Qualified candidates will receive a $7,500 signing bonus, earn $35 per hour – top transit wages in the state – and competitive employee benefits including health care coverage, which begins on the first day of employment.

The open house will be held at CATA, 4615 Tranter St., in the Maintenance Break Room, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free parking is available. On-site interviews will be conducted throughout the event. Attendees will also have the chance to interact with experienced CATA mechanics and gain valuable insights into the modern, clean and well-supplied bus maintenance facility.
