CATA announces service changes for MSU spring break

The Capital Area Transportation Authority will implement service changes during Michigan State University’s spring break. The changes will be effective Monday, March 3, through Sunday, March 9.
During the week of spring break, Spartan Service operating on MSU’s campus will change as follows:
- Routes 34, 35, 36 and Lot Link: Late-night service concludes for the week between 2 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. Monday, March 3.
- Route 32 Commuter Lot/Snyder Hall/Clinical Center: The route will operate weekdays, 7 a.m. to 7:25 p.m., at a reduced frequency during the break. Buses will depart the MSU-CTC/Ramp 1 every 30 minutes, rather than every 15 minutes.
- Routes 30, 31, 33-36, 38, 39, Lot Link and Night Owl: These services do not operate on MSU’s campus during the break.
Service changes will also be in effect for the following routes during the break:
- Route 1 – Downtown Lansing/Meridian Mall: Weekday departures from bus stops along downtown Lansing’s Capitol Loop will continue to occur up to eight minutes later than usual Monday through Friday evening.
- Route 20 – South Harrison/Jolly/Dunckel: The route will travel into Spartan Village during the break. Buses will travel into the MSU-CTC/Ramp 1 and serve the Shaw and Farm boarding center. Weekend buses will depart some stops up to five minutes earlier.
- Route 22 – MSU/Haslett/Okemos and Route 23 – MSU/Okemos/Haslett: Both routes will travel into the MSU-CTC/Ramp 1 and serve the Shaw and Farm boarding center.
- Route 26 – Abbot/Chandler: Weekday service will operate on a 45-minute frequency throughout each day and conclude at 7:15 p.m. Saturday service ends at 7:15 p.m. There is no change in Sunday service.
Spartan Service will resume Monday, March 10, 2025.
