Director of Customer Service/Safety
Sandy Rios began her career with CATA in 1992 as a Motor Coach Operator. Her genuine passion for people and desire to serve her community opened up a number of advancement opportunities, including roles as CATA’s liaison at Michigan State University, Operations Manager, and Customer Service and Paratransit Manager. Today, Rios oversees Customer Service, Security and the Safety Department. Her work experience includes service to the Katy Independent School District Transportation Department, Katy, Texas; Michigan Department of Transportation; and the Lansing School District. Rios holds numerous course certificates from the Transportation Safety Institute and earned a Bachelor of Science in management and organizational development from Spring Arbor University.
