The CATA Board of Directors establishes policy which sets the direction for CATA operations. The Board consists of representatives from member jurisdictions that provide funding for CATA operations. These jurisdictions include the Cities of Lansing and East Lansing, and Townships of Delhi, Lansing, and Meridian. The Board also includes non-voting representatives from Ingham County and Michigan State University.
The Local Advisory Committee (LAC) is composed of representatives from area agencies that serve senior citizens and persons with disabilities, and also includes citizen representatives. The LAC advises CATA on senior and disability issues.
CATA’s Executive Staff oversees the planning and management of CATA operations and more than 300 employees.
CATA bus operators and mechanics are represented by the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 1039.
