Opened in Nov. 2015 in East Lansing, the Gateway replaced the original Amtrak station with a state-of-the-art transportation facility, which welcomes visitors and showcases the region, as well as incorporates rail, and city, regional and national bus lines. The large modern station provides convenient access to:

  • Daily Amtrak Blue Water service to Chicago and Port Huron
  • Intercity buses — Greyhound and Indian Trails 
  • Taxi service
  • CATA’s Route 20 (year-round) and Routes 35 and 39 (during MSU's fall and spring semesters)

Combinations of weeks and days will be permitted (for example, parking for one week and three days would cost $80)

To park in the lot, note your vehicle license plate number, continue to the designated pay kiosk to enter your plate number and pay. Credit cards and cash accepted. Exact change is required. Vehicles will be ticketed by Michigan State University Police for nonpayment.
