Fall service changes are effective August 26, 2019. Below are the route-by-route details.
Route 1 Downtown Lansing/ Meridian Mall
- Friday and Saturday late-night trips will run the same year-round and follow the more frequent schedule previously referred to as Spartan Service.
- Capitol Loop trips will run the same year-round in the morning and slightly different in the evening during MSU breaks and holidays.
Route 3 Willow/Lansing Mall
- Saturday: Three trips have been added in the morning at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. to provide 30-minute service all day.
- Sunday: Added trips throughout the day increase the frequency of service from 60 minutes to 30 minutes all day.
Route 7 Aurelius/Miller
- The 7:30 a.m. trip from the CTC will depart ten minutes later (at 7:40 a.m.) as well as all stops on this outbound (southbound) trip.
- The 8:15 a.m. trip from Meijer S. Pennsylvania will depart ten minutes later (at 8:25 a.m.) and all other stops on this inbound (northbound) trip will depart five minutes later.
- Buses will depart Meijer S. Pennsylvania five minutes later throughout the day. This change will not impact departure times at any other inbound (northbound) stops.
Route 8 Pennsylvania/Holt
- Saturday & Sunday: Added trips throughout the day will increase the frequency of service from 45 minutes to 30 minutes all day.
Route 9 South Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd./Miller
- Saturday & Sunday: Added trips throughout the day will increase the frequency of service from 45 minutes to 30 minutes all day.
Route 20 S. Harrison/Jolly/Dunckel
- Weekday buses will run the same schedule year-round. The only change in service will be during MSU breaks and holidays when buses travel into Spartan Village.
- Buses will no longer operate more frequently Monday through Thursday during Spartan Service periods.
Route 24 East Lansing/E. Lake Lansing Road
- During MSU breaks and holidays. the inbound (southbound) 7 a.m. weekday trip from Meijer Lake Lansing will depart ten minutes later (at 7:10 a.m.). All stops on this trip will depart 11-12 minutes later.
MSU CAMPUS — Free Fares on Routes 30-39 resume Aug. 26, 2019
Route 32 Commuter Lot/Snyder Hall/Clinical Center (Year-Round Service)
- Buses will travel to Snyder/Phillips Residence Halls after departing the Auditorium on trips headed south to the Clinical Center and Commuter Lot.
Route 33 North & South Neighborhoods
- The route will operate until 10:30 p.m. with buses running every 40 minutes after 7 p.m.
Route 38 Spartan Village
- The route will operate every 30 minutes until 10:45 p.m. and travel Harrison Road to Shaw Lane into campus rather than Trowbridge and Wilson roads.
Lot Link
- Spartan Village will be served by Lot Link Monday through Friday from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. upon request. A 60-cent fare or bus pass is required.
REMINDER
Spartan Service resumes Monday, Aug. 26, 2019, with the following:
- Routes 23, 25 and 26 additional trips provided
- Route 24 — weekday frequency changes to every 35 minutes until approximately 6:30 p.m.
- Routes 30-39 — return to campus with free fares
- Lot Link and Night Owl return to campus. A 60-cent fare or bus pass is required.
- Route 12 — resumes service to LCC West with changes in frequency
GENERAL
The day after Thanksgiving (Friday, Nov. 29, 2019) Service levels will be reduced on:
- Route 26 — follows the Saturday Spartan Service 40-minute frequency schedule
- Route 26 Late Night — no Late Night service
- MSU campus — will be served by Routes 34, 35, 36 and Lot Link
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Monday, Jan. 20, 2020) — There will be no change in service on any route.
