What is CATA Rural Service?
CATA Rural Service is designed to give residents
of outlying areas access to public transportation. CATA has developed
a range of services for residents of Mason, Webberville and Williamston,
and in Delhi and Meridian Township.
How do CATA Rural Services work?
Each of CATA's rural services have been
designed to serve their specific area in the best way possible.
Some services operate on specific routes, and some provide curb-to-curb
service. Please review the service (or services) that are available
in the areas you would like to travel. Route information, maps,
hours of operation, fares and specific details are available by
selecting these services.
Using Multiple Services
If you would like to use a combination of
CATA's rural service and our regular route service, you may
need to transfer between services. Transferring simply involves
using more than one CATA service in order to complete your trip.
When you board the first vehicle, ask the driver for a transfer.
Transferring to an equal or lower fare service is free simply
use your transfer instead of a cash fare on the next vehicle. When
transferring to a higher fare service, the difference in fares must
be paid when you give the driver your transfer slip.
