Important Notice to CTC Customers:
CATA Buses Return to Grand Avenue and Lenawee Street
Beginning Monday, September 24, 2007, all CATA buses serving the downtown Lansing area will return to boarding passengers at temporary bus stops on Grand Avenue and Lenawee Street, adjacent to the CATA Transportation Center (CTC).
This will be the third customer boarding area move for CATA in the past several months due to downtown Lansing road construction projects. The first move occurred in May when buses were no longer able to use the CTC due to Kalamazoo Street construction. Customer boarding areas were moved to temporary bus stops on Grand and Lenawee. Early this month, major problems with road construction at the Grand and Lenawee intersection forced CATA to implement their emergency back-up plan, relocating buses to Grand and Shiawassee (near Lansing Community College).
See the map at the bottom of this page or download the PDF here.

Greyhound and Indian Trails buses resumed boarding passengers on the north side of Lenawee Street between Grand Avenue and Washington last week.
"We greatly appreciate how patient our customers and the downtown Lansing community have been with these changes," stated CATA CEO/Executive Director Sandy Draggoo. "The Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) construction project is very important to our community. We have to give the construction crews the space they need to get the work completed. We have done all we can to make the boarding location changes go as smoothly as possible for customers, while maintaining service during each of the moves."
CATA, Greyhound and Indian Trails buses are not expected to return to the regular Transportation Center bays until later this fall.
