CATA continues transit service review with public open houses

CATA continues transit service review with public open houses

CATA Buses

CATA’s Road Ahead, the year-long, comprehensive systemwide analysis of CATA’s transit services, is moving into its next phase of the project with public events scheduled in April and May.

The project continues to examine how public transportation can better serve the region, reviewing both fixed-route and demand-response services. The findings will provide valuable insight on how to best meet the evolving needs of residents, employees, students and visitors. The study also explores opportunities to coordinate with community partners and expand transportation options across the tri-county region.

Community members are invited to attend open house events to learn more about the project, meet with staff, ask questions and provide input. Attendees can also review feedback and data from Phase I and transit concepts developed based on those findings.

Upcoming Open House Events:

Wednesday, April 15, 2026 11 a.m.-1 p.m. East Lansing Public Library 950 Abbot Rd, East Lansing

Tuesday, May 12, 2026 4 p.m.-6 p.m. Foster Community Center 200 N Foster Ave, Lansing

A short survey will be available at the public events and online for those interested in sharing feedback as part of the study. For more information, visit the Road Ahead webpage
