Hi all,
It was a
very busy day at Soldier Hollow today. We had over 18,000 spectators
today. When the events were over, we moved all 18,000 people in less than
two hours. Everyone is still happy with the way the transportation is
working. I can say over and over that the spirit of the Olympics is alive
and well In Salt Lake.
One thing
I don't remember them telling me before I came here is that I would be
working six days a week. I don't understand how that little detail
slipped by me. It could be because we have lost a few drivers and
are actually a little short now. I guess they figure the rest of us won't
mind taking up the slack.
We are still
hearing about the controversy in the pairs figure skating judging. Everyone
here feels the Canadians should have taken the gold. From what I
hear tonight the IOC is getting involved now. That is a very unusual move,
so it will be interesting to see what happens.
Bye for now,
Len
