WOW, what
a day. As I said earlier, I was at the cross country skiing event today.
I was seated with a group of people from Norway. When the contestant from
Norway won, I was surrounded by some very excited people. Then when I
caught the ball for the VIP tickets to the awards ceremony, I all of a
sudden had some instant Norwegian friends. They wanted to go with me to
the awards ceremony. I wanted to be able to take them, especially one
man I had been talking to and had taken his picture for him. But I knew
I had to ask my roommate first, or I could have been in the dog house
for the rest of the time here. He was very excited about going, as I was.
So we went to Salt Lake this afternoon, did a little shopping and then
attended the awards ceremony. We were right up in front of the stage,
not 20 feet away. It was awesome to be so close. I was able to get some
great pictures of the ceremony.
Well, better
get to bed, have a feeling tomorrow will be a long day at work with such
a short night ahead of me now. But it was worth it.
Bye for now,
Len

Hi all!
I went to the cross country ski event in Soldier Hollow this morning.
I took some good pictures. But when the event finished, they had some
VIP tickets to tonight's medals ceremony in Salt Lake they were giving
away. The way they did it is they had orange spongy balls about
the size of a baseball that they threw up into the crowd. To make a long
story short, they threw one in my direction and I reached up and snatched
it out of the air. It pays to be tall sometimes. The people around me
didn't have a chance. So I'm going in to Salt Lake and have VIP seating
for the medals ceremony tonight. Should have a good report to make today!!
