Schedules and Route Maps

Description:

Beginning Monday June 4th, Lenawee Street near the CATA Transportation Center (CTC) will be closed to through traffic between Washington Street and Grand Avenue. Access to the CTC will be maintained for CATA buses between Grand Avenue and the CTC driveway. This will require the following detours but will not impact service at any existing stops.

Buses traveling southbound on Capitol will detour as follows (this includes inbound routes 1, 2 capitol loop only, 3, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 41 AM, 46 AM and 48 AM):

• Southbound on Capitol to Hillsdale.
• Left (east) on Hillsdale to Grand.
• Left (north) on Grand to Lenawee.
• Left (west) on Lenawee to the entrance to the CTC and resume regular route.

Routes 2 and 7 inbound buses will detour as follows:

• Westbound on St. Joseph to Washington according to the current Washington Street detour.
• Right (north) on Washington to Hillsdale.
• Right (east) on Hillsdale to Grand.
• Left (north) on Grand to Lenawee.
• Left (west) on Lenawee to the CTC entrance and resume regular routing.
• Additionally, Route 7 will continue through the west side of the CTC to Kalamazoo, and then on to the east side of the CTC to serve its normal bay.

Route 7 buses will exit the CTC as follows:

• Exit the east side of the CTC onto Lenawee.
• Right (west) on Lenawee to the west side entrance to the CTC.
• Travel through the west side of the CTC to Kalamazoo.
• Left (west) on Kalamazoo and resume regular route.

Routes 5 and 15 are completely unaffected by this detour, as well as outbound routes 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 41 PM, 46 PM and 48 PM.

The construction completion date is unknown at this time.
