Be a Tourist in Your Own Town

Route Icon Pay just 50-cents round trip fare when you board a Be a Tourist route bus or use your CATA fixed-route pass. Kids 42" and under ride for free. If you pay with cash, you must have exact change. Transfers to other buses may be made at boarding centers or bus stops along the route. CATA fixed-route transfers are free. Just ask the driver for a transfer ticket when you board your first bus.

The Be a Tourist bus routes will operate:

Saturday, June 5th: 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Buses will run approximately every 10 minutes.

Turn-by-Turn Directions

Green Route
  • Departs the staging area on Michigan (west of Cedar, in front of Nuthouse).
  • Right (south) on Cedar to Mt. Hope.
  • Left (east) on Mt. Hope to Harrison.
  • Left (north) on Harrison to Kalamazoo.
  • Right (east) on Kalamazoo to West Circle.
  • Right (east) on West Circle to Auditorium.
  • Right (east) on Auditorium to Collingwood.
  • Right (south) on Collingwood to Farm Lane.
  • Continue on Farm Lane to Service Rd.
  • Left (east) on Service to Bogue.
  • Left (north) on Bogue to Shaw.
  • Left (west) on Shaw to Farm.
  • Right (north) on Farm to Grand River via Collingwood (Farm becomes Collingwood after Auditorium Drive).
  • Left (west) on Grand River to Michigan.
  • Merge left onto Michigan.
  • Michigan to Harrison. Make “Michigan Left” in order to turn left onto Harrison from Michigan.
  • Right (south) on Harrison to Kalamazoo.
  • Right (west) on Kalamazoo to Grand.
  • Right (north) on Grand to Michigan.
  • Right (east) on Michigan to staging area in front of Nuthouse (west on Cedar, on Michigan).
Blue Route
  • Departs the staging area on Michigan (west of Cedar, in front of Nuthouse).
  • Right (south) on Cedar to Mt. Hope.
  • Left (east) on Mt. Hope to Pennsylvania.
  • Left (north) on Pennsylvania to Potter Park Zoo.
  • Right (east) into the Potter Park Zoo drive.
  • Exit the Potter Park Zoo to Pennsylvania.
  • Right (north) on Pennsylvania to I-496.
  • Left (west) onto I-496 to Grand.
  • Right (north) onto Grand directly to Michigan.
  • Right (east) on Michigan to staging area in front of Nuthouse.
Red Route
  • Departs the staging area in front of Stadium District Condos/Lansing CVB Office.
  • Left (north) on Larch to Shiawassee.
  • Left (west) on Shiawassee to Capitol.
  • Left (south) on Capitol to Kalamazoo.
  • Right (west) on Kalamazoo to entry drive of the Michigan Historical Center.
  • Right (north) on entry drive into the Historical Center.
  • Continue around the cul-de-sac to exit onto Kalamazoo.
  • Left (east) onto Kalamazoo to Pine.
  • Right (south) on Pine to Main.
  • Left (east) on Main to Townsend.
  • Right (south) on Townsend to William.
  • Right (west) on William to Walnut.
  • Right (north) on Walnut to Main.
  • Right (east) on Main to Grand.
  • Left (north) on Grand to Lenawee.
  • Left (west) on Lenawee to CTC.
  • Drive through CTC to Kalamazoo.
  • Right (east) on Kalamazoo to Grand.
  • Left (north) on Grand to Michigan.
  • Right (east) on Michigan to staging area in front of Nuthouse (On Michigan, west of Cedar).
Yellow Route
  • Departs the staging area in front of Stadium District Condos/Lansing CVB Office.
  • Left (north) on Larch to North.
  • Continue on North to Turner.
  • Left (south) on Turner to Grand River.
  • Left (east) on Grand River to Cedar.
  • Right (south) on Cedar to Michigan.
  • Left (east) on Michigan to staging area.
