Fixed-route service is what most people are familiar with--buses traveling regular routes at scheduled times. Days of operation and service hours vary by route.

CATA's fixed-route service options:

Lansing Area Routes

CATA operates 16 routes that travel to and from the CATA Transportation Center (CTC) in downtown Lansing for service throughout the Greater Lansing area. Many of these routes serve Lansing Community College and Cooley Law School. View directory of Lansing area routes.

East Side Routes
CATA operates 6 routes serving East Lansing, Okemos, Haslett and southeast Lansing. All East Side routes serve the MSU campus. View directory of East Side routes.

MSU Campus Routes
CATA operates 7 routes that serve the Michigan State University campus during fall and spring semesters.

Limiteds
CATA Limiteds travel directly from Mason, Williamston and Webberville to downtown Lansing during weekday morning and afternoon rush hours, making limited stops for a faster commute.

Shopping Bus
CATA's Shopping Bus provides regularly scheduled weekday trips from area senior housing complexes to grocery stores and shopping centers.

Entertainment Express
The Entertainment Express trolley travels between downtown Lansing and downtown East Lansing, serving select bus stops on the route to get to entertainment venues along Michigan and Grand River Avenues.
