"We’ll Come to You" Service
When most people think of CATA, they think of buses picking up passengers at bus stops. But did you know that there are other ways that CATA can get you where you need to go? "We’ll come to you" service picks you up at your curb and takes you to your destination. You just need to call ahead. See individual service descriptions below for specific details.
CATA curb-to-curb service options:
Redi-RidesAn advance-reservation, curb-to-curb service which operates Monday through Saturday for the cities of Mason and Williamston, and Delhi and Meridian townships.
Fares are the same as fixed-route service. Transfers to fixed-route service are free. When transferring to a higher-fare services (such as CATA Rural Service), the difference in fare must be paid when you give the driver your transfer.
Transportation is not provided to or from schools when school bus transportation is available to a student. Call 517.394.CATA (2282) to reserve a ride:
CATA Rural Service (CRS)
CRS provides curb-to-curb service with 24-hour advance reservation for travel in the outlying area of Ingham County. Service operates Monday - Friday 7 AM to 6 PM.
One-way regular fares range from $2.25 to $3.25 based on the length of the trip. Discounted fares range from $1.00 5o $1.50 for individuals showing eligible ID cards.
Call 517.394.CATA (2282) or toll-free 800.322.1390 by 5 PM the day before your trip to reserve your ride. Trips for Monday must be reserved by 5:00 PM Friday.
Connector ServiceConnectors offer regularly scheduled small bus transportation connecting Mason, Williamston and Webberville to Lansing urban routes.
MSU Lot Link & Night Owl
CATA offers two curb-to-curb services on MSU campus during fall and spring semesters for connections to commuter lots as well as late night on-campus transportation.
Spec-TranSpec-Tran is CATA's service for persons with disabilities who are unable to use fixed-route service.
