Businesses around Greater Lansing Help ‘Clean’ Commuters Save
Featured Employer Partner: Lansing Community College
LCC has partnered with CATA on the Clean Commute program. LCC seeks to educate its’ students and employees on alternatives to driving to campus alone. LCC and CATA have sponsored a Transportation Fair, promoting car/van pooling, with discounted parking fees in campus parking facilities for those who register with CATA and participate in car/van pooling. Also, LCC sells a variety of CATA bus passes and tokens to allow students, employees, and the community to take advantage of the Lansing area’s public transportation system. Benefits to the college community include reduced pollution, financial savings, sharing or eliminating driving to campus, less time spent in line waiting for parking, and a more enjoyable experience at LCC.
