CAPITAL AREA TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY ("CATA") has prepared applications requesting State of Michigan financial assistance for Fiscal Year 2012 from the State Comprehensive Transportation Fund under Act 51 of the Public Acts of 1951, as amended, and for Federal Assistance under the Federal Transit Act, as amended, ("FTA"), as follows:

Operating and capital funds listed above include both urban and rural funds. Capital projects to be funded include: purchase of vehicles for transporting customers; purchase of support vehicles; vehicle lease payment; preventive maintenance; technology systems; planning; maintenance equipment; replacement parts; safety and security system; customer enhancement; replace phone system; and facility improvements.

Additional details on the proposed applications are on file at CATA, 4615 Tranter Street, Lansing, MI, and may be reviewed during a 30-day period (February 28, 2011 – March 29, 2011), Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Written comments on the proposed applications must be received by 5:00 PM on March 29, 2011. CATA will hold a public hearing on the proposed grant applications on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at 8:00 AM in the CATA Board Room located at 4615 Tranter Street, Lansing.
